Will I need any additional permits to import IT Equipment into Egypt?
The documentation process in Egypt is lengthy and complex. In addition to standard import permits, your shipment may require NTRA approvals, apostille declarations of conformity, and letters between the shipper, receiver, and OEM.
I only need to ship a small shipment to Egypt, will I still need to obtain all the documents listed above?
Egypt allows for informal clearance of small, low-value shipments. This can drastically reduce the time and documentation needed to complete the shipment. Informal clearance is rare, and FGX can discuss further with you if this is a viable option for your shipment.
