Importer of Record and Pre-Shipment Documentation
Importer of Record
Morocco is very receptive to foreign investment, but the import/export process can be difficult without the proper licenses and approvals, so using an Importer of Record is common. Most of our clients will not have a local business entity capable of importing on their own.
ANRT Approval
ANRT (The National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency) sets the regulatory requirements for radio and telecommunications equipment. In order to import equipment regulated by the ANRT, you will need to submit your shipment documents for pre-approval. You will also need to provide data sheets from the OEM with your shipment documentation. If you do not already have these data sheets, FGX can assist you in obtaining them. Once you submit the proper documentation, ANRT approval takes 5-7 business days.
IT Shipping & Logistics
When deploying IT hardware to Morocco you will need to plan at least three weeks – door-to-data center. You will need at least 7 working days for document prep and approval, 3-5 days for air freight, 4-5 days for customs clearance, and a minimum of 3 days for last-mile delivery.
FGX manages all of our client’s shipments door-to-door (or door-to-datacenter). This case study showcases how we navigated IT logistics and importation into Morocco at the time that it was written. Regulations and challenges are constantly changing and exact shipping requirements may have changed. To learn more about FGX and how our global shipping platform can help your company, reach out here.
