Dialing into IT

Since FGX's inception in 2001, we’ve always looked to solve the most mission-critical logistical challenges we could find. From 2001 to 2007, we helped fine art collectors and auction houses ship some of the world's most expensive collections across the globe. In the six years following that, we added dangerous goods—another high stakes commodity—to the list of what we shipped.

But 10 years ago, one of our clients asked us a question that forever changed our business, “how is it possible that you can successfully import our dangerous goods into Brazil—that can explode—but I can’t find a solution for shipping my servers and routers?”

This led us on a quest to answer that question. After months of researching the market, learning as much as we could about the commodity and all of the relevant laws and regulations, we came up with a solution.

Within weeks of telling our customer that we had a solution for their IT shipments to Brazil, we completed our first delivery. In the year following that, they referred us to over a dozen new clients for whom we shipped IT hardware globally for, to Brazil, the Netherlands, and more.

Since then, we’ve exclusively focused on solving global IT logistics challenges and have: onboarded over 200 unique multinational companies; shipped tens of thousands of shipments for thousands of teams; stood up import solutions into 174 countries; setup dozens of our own global entities; vetted and onboarded the best agents the market has to offer; and serviced everyone in the ecosystem, including end-users, value added resellers, systems integrators and manufacturers.

Fast forward to 2024, we’re happy to celebrate a decade of providing global IT solutions to our customers.

We’ve also taken this as an opportunity to dial-in our focus by committing to a singular mission: to make best-in-class global IT logistics as seamless as possible.

Updating the Brand

To celebrate a decade of our focus on global IT logistics, we’ve also updated the FGX brand.

Our expertise, attention to detail, willingness to get down to brass tacks, and bespoke processes defines who we are. It’s why instead of using stock images of warehouses and planes, we took the time to create custom, detailed digital assets.

But we're not just doers, we're thinkers too. To lean into a style that better reflects that, the updated brand uses more editorial-style elements and layouts to show our dedication to sharing thoughtful opinions and ideas.

Coming Soon

In the coming months, our focus will be centered around creating a seamless digital experience for our customers to interface with our services. Making things like bill of material ingestion; getting cost optimized shipping options; having more visibility into the FGX Manifest; and detailed tracking easier than ever.

For our enterprise and long standing customers, we’ll soon be onboarding them into the first iteration of the FGX Enterprise Platform, which will make it easy for their teams to go from shipment request to delivery in an efficient and compliant way. If you’re interested in FGX Enterprise, you can sign up to the waitlist here.

For our non-enterprise customers, later this year we’ll be launching a new global IT shipping experience that will replace email as the medium for which you engage with us.

We’ll also be publishing content that helps our customers better understand the work that we do, from what happens behind-the-scenes at FGX to the intricacies of importing IT equipment all around the world.

Stay tuned for what's to come by signing up to our newsletter.
