Are there any additional permits I will need when importing into Jordan?
The regulatory board that oversees IT equipment is the TRC (Telecommunications Regulatory Commission). This commission is responsible for regulating the use and import of all telecommunications and IT equipment in Jordan. Before shipping to Jordan, one has to apply for a TRC permit, which FGX does on behalf of our clients when our IOR service is utilized. Obtaining the TRC’s approval can take several weeks, so it’s important to plan deployments well ahead of their deadlines.
Can I act as my own Importer of Record in Jordan?
In order to act as your own Importer of Record in Jordan, you must have a registered, local business entity. Most of our clients do not have a registered business in Jordan and therefore, will have to utilize FGX’s Importer of Record services.
